The MPH series heat shrink busbar coveris a box-type heat shrinkable insulating sleeve specially designed for copper busbar joints. It is applied to the weakest exposed sections of busbars in switchgears, substations and transformer terminals. Inside switchgears, copper busbar lap joints are usually the weakest and trickiest insulation points: taping is labour-intensive and prone to loosening, while straight heat shrink tubes cannot conform well to complex L-shaped and T-shaped corners. Targeting this pain point, the  MPH series heat shrink busbar cover is moulded with dedicated busbar cover dies to form box-shaped sleeves matching lap geometries, with no tape or clamps required for fastening.

This product line covers three voltage classes: 1 kV, 10 kV and 35 kV, and is available in three joint styles: L-type, T-type and I-type. It fits common lap configurations for single and double copper busbars. Standard phase colours include red, yellow, green and black; custom colours and printing are available upon customer request.

Beyond insulation protection, these busbar covers resolve three major on-site hazards: short circuits caused by foreign object bridging or animal creep, electric shock risks from accidental human contact, and flashovers triggered by contamination and condensation. They also shield copper busbars against corrosion from air and harmful gases to extend equipment service life.
